    Dinosaurs laid eggs, and they were a good bit before chickens.
    Even if you mean chicken eggs, the first chicken (even though such a thing could never really be determined) would have been born from an egg.

    Two Theories.

    Egg comes first before a chicken hatches out of the egg but second theory is
    the chicken makes an egg so an egg comes second if its just an ordinary egg that you eat not that it turn out to be a little chick.

    Question proves inconclusive as it could be either way!
