Why does microsoft word 2007 change the quality of pasted images?

    This is wrecking my head.
    When I insert a picture from snipping tool the quality in word itself is terrible!!!!!

    Save the image somewhere first and then use the Insert command. That'll sort the problem. As to why it happens I don't know but that's the way I solve it anyway.

    Blame it on JPEG compression. ;)

    Save it as PNG.
