Alder Mairi today at Warwick e/w.I didnt hear anything today for her but was told before her first race that she had ability, finished fifth. She cost less than £2000 so very small bet only.Currently 20/1 would like to see money for her before backing her as Mullins may be getting a handicap mark for her but one to watch.

Didn't run bad last time for the horse to be around 20/1

not a tip for next Thursday but a tip for a 3m chace when he runs over that distance. This is over 2.5 m on a stiff track. Most of my info comes from a top pinhooker in Ireland.Who was very drunk in my house last night after the rugby because he backed Ireland with 8 pts.My Urban Sea is now in season tonight.

Just out of interest do many people here follow Hugh Taylor on attheraces? He is a great person to follow for horses, he gives out a few tips each day and has a full writeup on why he is selecting them. Has a pretty decent strike rate as well.

He tipped Oscar Charlie at Lingfield today and it won @ 3/1.

His 2nd today is Aaman @ the 3.40 @ Southwell.

    Here is the link

Hope people took note. Had a lovely double up today. 14/1 and 8/1.

    Giving Orders 7.00 Dundalk

Reason? I'm a sucker for horses being backed well in Handicaps with bad form.

Form is 510900 gone form 8s this morning into 7/2 now

Can we please remember to put some reasoning in, please? As per the first post, I'm deleting posts don't give any reasoning. Thanks, C.

A sentence or two is fine - not everyone reads all the other threads, so a few lines in your post when mentioning a tip or fancy would be much appreciated.

Hope you backed the three horses .11/8, 20/1 and unplaced[drop back to 2m].

Alder Mairi .First time over hurdles and up in trip.He was fancied first time out but Thornton came back and said he didnt act on the frozen ground.Only back him if money shows.Five Point Plan.Gave him when he won last time out ,he is not a big horse but stays really well .Mount Welcome.Has been fancied a few times but from a stable who have had a poor few years. He will win sometime at a big price, maybe today.Magic Spear was very well fancied in desperate conditions at Leo beaten by a Tony Martin hotpot who had a previous run.Murphy was thinking about running him at Cheltenham. He is a very poor price.

    Tomorrow 4.45 Hereford
    Gentleman Anshan @ 6/4

A great chance for him to open the seasonal account here. Third LTO in an event over a furlong shorter, it seemed as though he didn't stay the trip. He had a great chance on Monday when top weight but was a non runner. The horse that won that race had chinned him for second on the line LTO and he goes off the same mark. He is a CD winner and will have no problem with the ground.

Wolverhampton 4.50 - Hamis Al Bin with Franny Norton on board.

Hugh Taylor mentioned this horse on the Form Factor yesterday and said he thought the handicapper hadn't given it it's proper mark yet and was still about 10-12lb under what it should be.

Now the only worry is that it's on the all weather at Wolverhampton and not the fibresand of Southwell which is where he impressed last time out. No betting firm has odds up yet but Betfair have it trading at 13/8 fav.

Just something to keep an eye on tomorrow.

The mark makes no difference in a maiden race

    Oh right, didn't know that.

Anyway, it won @ 2/1. Knew it was a good thing with the way Hugh was talking about it yesterday. It was beat by a horse called Minstrels Gallery last time out at Southwell so watch out for it when it runs next time. I'll probably post it in here if I see it.

Actually just searched for it. It's been entered in the 2000 guineas in May!

Nice call Moscow. I wasn't trying to be smart earlier, just that a horse being ahead of the handicapper would matter most in handicap races
