A few of my friends and I have been thinking about cycling around ireland this summer. Now I'm a little unsure about it being the best idea for me to be the only female in a group full of guys who quite possibly are all much more fit than I am. Am I right to be concerned about this? I've never done any long distance cycling before. Neither have my friends.

'Around' and in a full circuit or 'around' as in a few days cycling around?

The full curcuit may be a bit long if you have not done distance cycling before. a few days out would be better.

I think the nice thing about cycle-touring is that everyone can do it at their own pace, so I would not worry about your fitness levels in comparison to others in the group.
