What songs are the most impressive because of the drumming?
    For me it's gotta be...

A song for the dead - Queens of the Stone Age
    Black Night - Deep Purple
    Radar Love - Golden Earring
    Everlong - Foo Fighters

I'm a guitarist, but 4 me, the drums can make a song :) thump, crash BANG!

Morbid angel - Opening the gates (Listen and you'll see)

Meshuggah - Transfixion (Such animal timings and precision)

Mr. Grohl is like an animal on Nirvana's Territorial Pissings and Breed, but I think the most Made-For-Drums song I've heard is Pearl Jam's In My Tree.

    Sepultra - Ratamahatta

    Mad drumming in that song.

Thats right, how did I forget. What an intro.

    Lights out - Entombed.

Love his rolls and the unusual places he decides to put in crashes and whatnot.

Angel of Death - Slayer (I'm guessing he's not a smoker, or else he has more arms/legs we don't know about)

    Pantera - 5 Minutes Alone
    Pantera - Domination
Morbid Angel - Dawn Of The Angry
Morbid Angel - Opening of the Gates
Morbid Angel - To Victor The Spoils
Fear Factory - Self Bias Resistor
    Fear Factory - Replica
    Megadeth - Hangar 18

    Pantera - Regular People
    Smashing Pumpkins - Muzzle
    Thin Lizzy - Chinatown
    Jimmy Hendrix - Fire

The drumming mightn't be the best aspect of those songs but it's cool nonetheless.

    Fire - Hendrix

    as far as excellent drumming
    Fire - hendrix
Whiskey in the jar - Thin Lizzy version
Moby Dick - Led Zepplin but its really just Bonham....

Just realised a second ago that Tomas haake (Meshuggah) plays (not litrally) two drums in a sence. His cymbals and snares are 4/4 beats and his bass drums follow the guitars(7/16) (which are fast). He is a god.

He is probably doing trips and then adding a beat on the bass, not too hard for a experienced drummer.

Yes mayby so. But he's doing stuff on the bass drums like tons of sixthteenth notes with rests here and there while he has to maintain the 4/4 cymbals and snares. Plus meshuggah has polyrhythmic songpatters.

The heavy section at the end of One by Metallica. It's not difficult stuff, but it sounds great. System of a Down's Toxicity has some great drum bits too.

Chris Slade with AC/DC : HEETSEEKER / WHOLE LOTTA ROSIE (pure speed alone...ouch)
