Really looking forward to this, the first series was great.

The teasers on BBC are so good :)

I dunno - when I sat down and watched the first series on DVD, I felt like it was a little "off", because the lack of ads made the "real-time" aspect of the show a little screwy. The show was deliberately built for ads.

It's a big sack of cack.
Only mildly interesting aspect is watching young blondie (who has aged nicely since series one) legger it about, firm boobs a-jiggling, for 24 hours non-stop in a vain attempt not to get kidnapped. Again. And again...
I still watch it though, cause I'm sad like that :)

Thought it was quite good, though one problem with the original was there was too much talking and not enough action. Hopefully that'll be different this time, what with that annoying wife being dead, couldn't stand her.

wonderful stuff. a big thumbs up from everyone who lives in this house

Yeah thank christ they killed off the wife at the end of season 1, she was so fuppin irritating. Good enough start to season 2, not amazing though. Not crazy about the lack of continuity tho tbh. Can see it getting into a formula of introducing a new group of baddies every 12 episodes like it did in the first season and is doing now.

I enjoyed the first season despite it's flaws. I found it ironic that a show based on "real time" had the most unreal plot of all time.
Rent out "Timecode" if you enjoy the format.

Looking forward to watching it on BBC, it was great watching it every Sunday night. Will there be any Dennis Hopperesque cameos in the new series ?

Anyway, not a spectacular start to the series but was watchable, I will prob watch on rte, footy interrupts too much when watching it on a sunday night, well when I say footy, I mean the drinking that goes on after footy :)

Not in the first half of the series, anyway....

I really enjoyed last nights episode. Roll on next week!

Didn't see the first series but obviously heard all the hype. Enjoyed last nights show so I can see myself getting hooked.

I thought the first series was great although I thoughtit went on for too long. I tuned into the 2nd episode of the new series and wasnt really impressed. I thinkI had a 24 overload last year.
I was in the stated for the summer and a station showed the whole 1st series back to back - bit of a marathon session!

I got hooked last year and I knwo its goign to happen again..

There are more lovley girls in this series...we like this.
I enjoy the way its filmed...you know that whole shakey camera and weird angles... Can anyone suggust other films/programs where this camrea style is used ?

I liked the first episode. The characters have moved on which is good and the acting has improved dramatically.

I am assuming that the last season will be connected with this season????? Velious Shannon is she not the spy at the very end of the last season??? if so her name is still on the credits.

NYPD Blue pretty much pioneered the style in a mainstream prime time format. Since then its been used in almost every "gritty" and "realistic" show. Hmm, cant think of any at the moment tho :)

What was/is interesting about 24 is not only the realtime format but the use of Splitscreen. In my opinion they dont bring it far enough and Id like to see more of it. As has been mentioned Timecode is a great example of this style, Another honourable mention must go to the original Thomas Crown Affair.

Having said that , Splits are a time consuming affair (Your making 2/3 times the amount of Television than normal) so I doubt they would push it from a cost point of view.

Oh and yer wans lubly :)

Vicellous Shannon plays the president's son. If you're talking about Nina, well... she hasn't gone too far away.

Vicellous Shannon its a boys name not even the surname should be put on a boy. lol. No offence to the guy. No profile on the site, odd since he gets his name on the credits at the start of the show.

I'm in 2 minds over 24 I'm looking forward to it but after a review in The Sat Times mag Play I am worried that it may not live up to expectations, she raised an interesting point regarding Terri Bauer getting amnesia in the series 1 it turned into a meaty ep of The A-Team.

having religiously watched the first series (and inevitably watching each episode twice between bbc2 and bbc choice etc) i was not impressed at all , the plot was just tooooo unbelivable this time, not going to bother with it this time, might wait until the end.

Tuesday's episode was the best ever ever ever episode of 24. I can't wait for the next episode

Watched every ep of Series 1 so couldnt wait for new series. Well impressed so far.
I wonder if Darlene will turn out to be evil ?

    :p

Hmm. Last week's episode was alright... didn't really grab me, I felt like getting up and doing something else instead for a lot of it. Nice ending though.

Tonights ep on BBC was the worst ever nothing happened but you have to expect the odd bad one.

Hour two was pretty slow-moving all right. Plot and character development I suppose.
