    Hi all

    Looking for some advice/thoughts here.
I am thinking about trading up from my Trek 1.2 and was looking at one of this originally

    http://www.cube.eu/en/road/performance/peloton-sl/

Available at LBS for €1350. While checking this out they offered my a 2011 model Trek 2.5 for €1500.

    http://www.evanscycles.com/products/trek/25-compact-2011-road-bike-ec023950#features

2012 model retails for €2199 and the only big difference is the paint job.

I was really keen on the Cube as I already own a Cube Nature Hybrid and was impressed with the finish and quality of the brand in general. They always seem to provide a better spec than rival brands Trek, Giant etc for the money.

Both bikes have similar geometry, alu frames, carbon forks etc. . The cube has all Ultegra apart from brakes and chainset wheras the Trek has full Ultegra. Is there anything else that justifies the higher price of the Trek. Does it used higer grade aluminium for example? I'm presuming here that a €2200 Trek 2.5 must have something extra over a €1350 Cube apart from brakes and chainset.

What ever bike I end up with,I don't intend competing on it just staying fit and doing some local club rides so it will put up a few miles and the price difference in my case is ony 150 euro.

Thanks in advance for any advice.
