    Hi there

I've been working as a software developer using MFC/C++ and a bit of c#/VB.net for the past three and a bit years. I have an honours degree in computer science and a masters degree in the same. I got word last week that I'd be getting the second of two raises since I started working there, bringing my salary from 33k to 36k, and thought that was alright but I found out someone with a third my experience and no postgrad qualifications is earning 42k in another company, which is pretty galling.

I'm not even the worst off, there are people there four years who haven't gotten a raise at all, which is just disgraceful, especially when the company are pulling in record revenues, all the while citing tough market conditions.
I'm just wondering what is a reasonable salary to expect at my stage in my career?

What are your perks like? In my last job the bonuses + perks came to about 15% of my salary so my base salary didn't fully represent what I earned.

I was on about €33-€34k when I had 3 years experience in software development (low level C & assembly) so depending on your additional benefits €36k sounds ok.....
