I had a little cake left over from the party so brought it to London with me, my dad ate it yesterday and said it tasted perfect, even the butter cream was perfect.=

Wow that's good to know! :)

The weirdest thing has just happened. I had a good breakfast at 11am, branflakes with banana, went to visit a friend and by 2pm I was so hungry my hands were shaking, had to come home and get food straight away, my hands are still shaking now, wtf? This is the second time this has happened when I've gone to her house, I must be allergic to her place or something :p

Sounds like shaking due to a low blood sugar episode. You were too hungry! I get them when I get a migraine, so a little food often can help, smaller meals more regularly, helps to avoid a spike after starving then eating. The shaking is your body going "Woohoo...sugar!":p

Bah! I can never keep up with this thread, everytime I pop in there's so much to read!:) After feeling like total poooo over the weekend and barely leaving the house or eating, I finally gave in and went to the Doc today. Damn virus-tummy-bug thingy knocking me outa the park! It's doing the rounds out here in the wild west, and of course missus-no-immunity here picks it right up. Starting to get paranoid it's in the water or something.
*crafts tinfoil hat and drinking cup*

On a plus note, I would now like to declare my undying love for motilium. It let me have soup. I am eternally grateful! :pac:

But I'd only eaten 2 hours previously, a big bowl of bran flakes! I think it's damn girl hormones, messing with me, sigh!

Sorry to hear you're sick Edna! Hope you feel better soon! Poor boyfriend told me last night he's had stomach pains for THREE WEEKS, made two doctor's appointments but beeper went off ten minutes before both, so I made him make a new appt for tomorrow and am harassing him all day asking how he is. He said he didn't want to worry me by telling me, I grumble every day about a constant pain in my side, I wouldn't be so nice as to worry about his feelings, I just moan about it all the time :pac:

I was absolutely positive that the cake wouldn't be OK to eat, would taste funny etc, delighted to hear it was fine though.

I know he was hoping I'd bring some cake over, and he was so delighted when I gave it to him.

I'm only home two days and I miss them all already lol. Can't wait to go back and see them all again.

I can honestly say I'd give up all sun holidays just to spend a few days with my dad and siblings, nothing compares to spending time with them.

That used to happen to me in college sometimes. It wouldn't have been long since my last meal but, like you, I would get dizzy and my hands would shake. Had to keep a bottle of lucozade in my bag just in case.

To be honest it should always be fine for at least a week, or longer if stored properly, I just don't tell people that because some would then leave it 10 days to cut instead of eating it fresh!

I am dying to visit my baby Godson in London, it's so close but so far when I've to take into account flights and time off work :( Hoping to go for his first birthday in a few months. You can have my Dad and half sister if you want :p

Ah now, I deffo would have blamed the hormones first! :D

Your poor BF, I hope he hasn't caught this mysterious tummy bug! It's the darndest thing...not quite enough to make you take a day off sick, but just enough to make you narky and unproductive and miserable...well me anyway ;)

Hormones never occur to me as a cause of anything, I'm very stoopid like that :o

Yeah hopefully it's just a bug laying low and upsetting his stomach, he's prone to that sort of thing anyway so it should be something like that, they'll probably give him anti inflammatories (sp?) for a while. Now if we could just fix my stupid pain in my side we'd be flying, we're crocked in this house.

Anybody wanna come do my receipts for me tonight? No?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,325 ✭✭✭Eviledna

Poor Acoshla :( Accounting and a pain in the side don't go together.
How about instead some rest, some tea, some chocolate (lots) and a hot water bottle on the pain. Maybe a little nurofen too ;)

And blaming hormones is our god-given perrogative, our RIGHT! :p It's the only benefit of having them, dag-namit!

Now off I scurry to cook the BF some dinner. I'm a regular Betty Draper these days  but without the cheating and smoking and tiny waist

Have to get these done unfortunately, or my official new employee will kill me. I don't even do any accounting really lol, I just have to input it into a software programme, still don't wanna do it though!

And the pain in my side is always there so can't take painkillers for it or I'd be addicted at this stage! We think it's some kind of nerve damage from when I was sick two years ago, but yes heat and a snuggly blanket will factor heavily this evening, already had chocolate, so bold :o

Why do I keep reading Benedict Cumberbach as Engelbart Humperdick?
BRAIN DOES NOT COMPUTE. The man looks like a foot.
In other news, I might finally be changing courses. Here's hoping I won't be stuck in a dead end course doing something I hate. Have to talk to my tutors but I'm remaining cautiously optimistic.

I bought a new harness to walk the dog and stop her choking herself and yanking my arm, it works, huzzah! Just took her for a walk so A. I got exercise and B. I braved my fear of the dark, go me. (Yes I am 27 and terrified of the dark).

I love him in Sherlock! I think it's his cleverness and general demeanour. I seen Atonement a few years ago, but I don't really remember him being in it... that film just made me want to punch Saoirse Ronan in the face to be honest. Lying hussy! :pac:

Be yourself, you will be so much happier for it. If someone has a problem with the person you are then they don't deserve to have you in their life... :)

for safety, because my family are worried someone will hurt me or worse, because I'm so very scared sometimes. so I throw on my big coat, and pretend like I'm a guy. hope that if I need to use a public bathroom, and I go to the guys bathroom, that nobody notices my breasts and won't attack me. that when I visit family, I have to cover up. it's really hard right now, when I'm away from where I don't try and hide, I relax and just be myself. I think it's that feeling of living a double life that's really getting to me. I keep telling myself it won't be for much longer, but it's getting really depressing trying to keep this up.

I understand why you have to/feel you have to do that Links, it can be easier said than done with things like that. I don't know how you do it, you're very brave, just remember that when things like this get you down xx

Do you finish in May and have your graduation in November?
As far as I'm aware, once you have your results, you have graduated.

Not much longer I hope. I think a few months probably at most. It's going to get to a point where I just don't pass for a guy any more, but I kinda got to remind myself that it's still relatively early on in my transition.

I was reading that thinking 'When I graduated, it was November, but I was already a couple of months into doing my masters..' Is that a new rule?! :pac:
