Will it affect my mortgage application?

02-03-2012 02:38PM#1Hoping someone can give me some advice. I have been off work sick for 2 months. I have been receiving illness benefit and a certain amount of pay from work during this time. I am just wondering, when I give my payslips to the bank for the mortgage application will this affect how the bank sees my circumstances. I was afraid to ask the bank directly

It shouldn't negatively effect your application. The bank will make their decision based on your usual income, what your salary qualifies you to borrow and whether you've proven you can afford the repayments. It might be no harm to have one full months payslip to show you have returned to work after your illness prior to applying.0 -
