I would think the .22wmr would be up to the job for a fox at 200yards. I wouldn't ever dare it but it would be up to the job with proper shot placement. I would also think it'd go through a copy book as in the soft back 80 pages or 120? I think most people saw it but the .22lr went through 4-6inches of meat and denim pants i think (correct me if im wrong) in this video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xAkOzr6cDx0
So the .22wmr would be able imo. Not trying to try start any more debates :o
I wouldn't try take a fox at 200 yards with my .17hmr unless i had too. My longest was 159yards (stepped out so not 100% accurate) headshot and dropped it on the spot.
I wonder did he get pissed off and shoot it at close range before he showed the results. ''Is very possible'',I seen a guy on this doing a 1000yard shot on a plate of steel on youtube and after each bang there was no evidence of it hitting it also the funny part was it sounded as if there was someone in the background hiting a drum with a bar imitating the sound of the round hitting the target 3 seconds after shot and he had 5 rounds fired in 20 seconds all supposed to be hits. Not saying the video you put up is false or anything lad.DO you know where i'm coming from? some video's can be fixed easy. It's only now and then you will find proper video's of the bullet hitting the target. Here's a good example of one hitting a target at long range
    http://youtu.be/bAOyY6yO9MQ . Its a class shot and a beast of a caliber... He's downnn, 943 baby lol

Ive shot with a 22 magnum for many years and shot and killed foxes cleanly out to 150 yards with it. Im a big fan of the 22wmr and dont doubt its killing power.
I believe it is possible to kill a fox at 200yards with a 22wmr. However I dont think it is anywhere suitable for shooting anything bigger than rabbit at that kind of range. Shooting a fox at 150yards is even pushing it a bit.
I would never consider taking a shot on a fox at 200yards with one.
If you were to shoot 20 foxes at 200yards, a large number would not be killed cleanly as shot placement at that range is uncertain so on that basis its not suitable. There would be sufficient power there if the bullet hit the right place but that would be by no means certain in the field no matter how good the shooter is. One thing is for sure, I wouldnt like someone shooting at me at 200yards with a 22.wmr and only have a copy book to hide behind :D

So even though I think its a great round Id have to say I dont think its a 200 yard fox round. Nor is the .17 HMR. If you want to move out to 200yards on fox you should step up to hornet or bigger.
Bunny bashing and fox shooting out to around 120yards the 22 wmr is a great tool.
    Correct! :)

This is good. It shows differences in both .17hmr and .22mag too

The .17 is hard bet. The .22magnum didn't even go through the plate of steel at same range goes to tell you....
