Any genre suggestions? I'm happy to get creative in the kitchen, just need some inspiration - what do you think is a romantic meal? :)

Go to takeaway, bring back chips :)

No honestly, go for something on the light side, salad and pasta maybe. Makes things easier for later in the night.

Asparagus because it looks sexy if she eats it right, apparently.
I wouldn't go for the oysters but an ex of mine swore by them.

Something with garlic (it opens the blood flow and if you are both eating it then the smell don't matter!)... maybe not...

    Red wine

Strawberries and cream to end with of course.

You are talking about cooking or will I have to use gloves in the kitchen next week?

It would be a little bit difficult to find proper strawberries at this time of the year.

I hope you are not talking about tinned strawberries.
    Yuck.

Strange, i saw someone with a punnet of fresh strawberries in Tesco on Tuesday (Merrion). Maybe that was the last one.

Another dish for dessert which isn't very romantic but almost akin to the ancient Greek's milk and honey (or as they like to call it "Milk 'n' honey") is this:

    Two ramekin dishes
coat a small (half cm) lining of honey on the base
pour yogurt of plain gender on top
now place a coating of brown sugar on top of this.
Leave in fridge for at least an hour for the sugar to soak up yoghurt moisture
If you like you can flame the crust but it is lovely if you don't also.

    Nice and fairly light.

Enjoy the meal (are you cooking for Corinthian? :p)

I was thinking about that one, hardly enough sun in wexford at this time of the year.
    ;)

Played, I would not buy produce of Israel either.
