Amsterdam to Krakow

    Hi Folks

    I have a wedding to go to in Krakow

    Does anyone know how to get from Amstrdam to krakow, by Bus,Train, Plane and how much its costs?

    There's always plenty of InterCity trains between Warsaw and Kraków so no need to worry about that part of the journey.

    bahn.de tells us that there's a sleeper from Amsterdam to Warsaw (not Krakow) which you can get a €49 fare on. The website reported a €29 fare but it wasn't available for the random day I tried to book it on. It's going to be hard to beat that fare. The trani departs Amsterdam at 1901 and gets to Warsaw at 1049 the next morning. It looks like Krakow is another 2h30 travel from there.

    The first question to ask is why you are starting in Amsterdam in the first place. It's like that old line when asked for directions . . . "well, I wouldn't start from here anyway". I wouldn't start in Amsterdam myself, but you presumably have a good reason (like living there). If however, you have found a good fare to Amsterdam from Ireland and think that's a good starting point, it might be worth rethinking.
