Bus/Train from Leixlip to City

I start a new job in Stephens Green in a couple of weeks & live in Leixlip (near Easton). Does anyone use the bus or train to get into town & if so, which is best & cheapest way of getting in? I've never used public transport before but for obvious reasons i wont be driving in

You can get a train from Leixlip Louisa Bridge, that will drop you are Connolly / Tara Street / Pearse. Leixlip Confey is unlikely to be of use to you. Journey time approximately 40 minutes to Pearse. You should get a seat in the morning, but you may have to stand for a while in the evening.

Bus wise only the 66x directly serves Easton, the other 66s serve different parts of Leixlip. Journey times can be quite variable, probably 40-60 minutes.

Will you be working every day? If so, a Taxsaver monthly or annual ticket may be best, but it depends on your employer taking part in the scheme.If you are only working occassionally / a few days per week, Travel 90 tickets may be best.
