Irish SOPA signed into law today. Sean Sherlock should be ashamed of himself. He's basically saying "Yes, we listened to everyone's concerns and decided to ignore them anyway."

I was just coming here to say how much this had pissed me off. I got in touch with my local TDs to try to get them to, well, do their jobs and listen to me. Most of them ignored me and the rest were really patronising. They just didn't care. I don't know if they misunderstood the legislation or if they aren't bothered what happens as long as it toes the party line.

Jujubee: sorry for your loss. It doesn't how old a person is or how expected the death might be, it will always be sad.

*sigh* now I have someone who made a song and a dance about getting an appointment who is 20 minutes late. I have someone in at 6:30 and 7:30
why should they have to wait to see me 'cos she's late?

My grandma's sister and my aunt's sister both passed away yesterday. I feel sad but I feel like I should not because they both were old (98 and 88 respectively) and had lived long, full lives. Both had been ill for a while so it was expected, but it is still sad when the moment comes.

    Awww, that is sad jujibee:(

Good news and not so good news,

Went clothes shopping today and whippee I'm a size 12 top. Down from a size 14 -16. Had news is my boobs have shrunk from a 36d to a 36b...

    Got new jeans too 32/30. That means I was a 33" waist and now I'm a 31 1/2 inch....

Feeling good about myself I want to shout it from the roof tops, another downside is 2 of the new tops I got are faulty a hole in one and no button hole in the other, so I have to go take um back.

Re:sore back, is it anything a nice long soak in the tub with some radox muscle soak could help at all? I always go there for my sore back which results not from activity, but from too much sit-on-my-fat-assery :p occupational hazard!

Our bath is cracked and old and gross so can't use it, but I'm too long for baths anyway :( Haven't fit into a regular bathtub since I was about 11, sniff.

How is it that every time I cook with baking soda (once every million years!) it leaves cakes etc with a really horrible bitter taste. Even when I follow the recipe? :(

    No. Only sieved the flour...

Some lumpy bits probably made their way solidly into the mix, after nearly making my mother sick last year with that I always sieve it now!

    How tall are you?!!

Sorry for your loss, Jujibee. It's great they lived long lives but that doesn't mean you should be apologetic for, understandably, being upset. :(

I'm only 5ft 8ish, not even! Long legs, can't sit comfortably in bath.

Can't believe this sopa crap. Ireland is becoming less and less desirable to live in each day.
Facebook blocked again in work - didn't use it much tbh though
My god, it's already happening... :P

In happy news, Muppets was awesome!! Not enough riso or pepe prawn though. Being a big kid I got a happy meal too before it :) Gave my toy away though to a kid. I likes the getting a toy but I'd only end up binning it

    Sorry for your loss Jujibee

I was bold and bought some jeans today. You know you're short when 'ankle grazer' jeans fit you like normal length jeans :o

Got good feedback today. YAY :)

I'm 5'10 and a bit, and its a dream of mine when I buy a house to have a bath long enough that I can lie in. It gets cold and uncomfortable in the bath.

Tall people should be eligible for a grant for indoor swimming pools in their home.
I'm 5ft 3 so never had any 'fitting in the bath' issues luckily!

I can't stop falling in love with the patients on the ward I'm working on. Today, one of them, who can only say a few words, learned how to say my name. :)

He also farted and blamed it on me but how and ever! :pac:

What is this silly gas system Dublin has? What's wrong with the good old gas cylinders out the back?!

Now I'm very hungry as we had to wait to top up the gas. Hurry up pizza!

Yes! The muppets was awesome :D had the nicest date last week to see it, I never laughed so hard at a film! Cheered me up no end, and the bucket of pic'n'mix I consumed helped with the kiddy giddy high.
Warning: excess sweetie consumption may lead to jelly-poop! :P

Ireland is a fantastic place to live. We have a good economy, money, prosperity, a fantastic government, an amazing rail service, a hot sunny climate, great healthcare, a first class education system and guinness.

Good suffering Christ, I wish these antibiotics would just kick in and I could go back to feeling normal. Although the Barry White voice is growing on me.
