Interracial marriage in the U.S. hits all-time high, 1 in 12 marrying interracially

US Interracial marriages have hit an all time high.

It will only be a matter of time before we are all coffee coloured. The world is becoming mixed race and this is fantastic. I've always said this is the way the world is going and people were laughing at this prospect.

Ireland, Britain and Western Europe, with its increasing non-white immigration should follow suit at some point. I firmly believe we will have a mixed race majority within 50-100 years without a shadow of a doubt in some european countries. This means no more BNP threat, or far right parties in europe etc.

Western Europe really could have a beige majority within a short time frame, and then humanity will be moving closer together and potentially a one world government with no patriotism or nation states. That would be fantastic! It sounds dreamy but in the current age of globalisation anythings possible.

Very good and very pleased it's important to get rid of race and we're doing that, just hoping for those statistics to look favourably in many of the census across europe (including Ireland).

To be honest, it sounds like the world Gene Roddenbury visioned in many of his Sci-fi films and TV series.
Not knocking the notion of the above happening, would be nice to see to some extent, not so sure about one world government though.

Let me get this right, "1 in 12" that's less then 10%. How is that considered high?

And even then, not all married couples go on to have kids, so how does that make it a matter of time before we are all coffee coloured?

You'll see at the top of the page this was written by Associated Press

It's not unusual, all papers buy in other articles and give credit to other sources

You will find the exact same article all over the internet this morning

Honestly. Fcuk yeah, my favourite type looks wise is half Indian/ Mid East and half white....but a world without blondes, without women having a look specific to their region....you are really talking sh1te if you think its all great. My favourite type might be half Indian half white, but we are fed on what we dont see. Here in Australia, alot of local women are quite surprised by how mad Irish lads here are for the aforementioned, and Lebanese girls. The reason being that back home we saw little to none of these type of women growing up. Its a novelty. And lets be honest, most of the Polish etc women who came to Ireland were generally less attractive than Irish women, so it wasnt exactly mixing the market up looks wise. If every woman in our world looked mixed race the few blondes left would become the novelty. Its grand for peopole to get with who they want but neither would you want to see a world without stereotypically good looking women of x and y nationality simply ceasing to exist.

Bet a lot of it is Asian women marrying white men. A lot of Asian girls don't like marrying Asian men in certain parts of America. It's a stereotype just like Asian being bad drivers. But there is an element of truth to it.

Same could be said about black men.

For a ethnicity that's supposed to be marginalised and racially segregated, 24% it's pretty darn high. That's 1 in 4 black men marrying interracially.

I've never been to the US but you here all sorts of stories about how blacks are marginalised, US cities are very segregated. So this statistic comes as a shock to me.

Black men don't seem to like black women very much.

This holds no appeal for me. Why would we want to live in a world where we are all basically a bunch of mongrels? I love the physical differences that race bring, I think that if we lose that definition, and that which makes us unique the world will be a far less interesting place to live in.

And a 'one world government with no patriotism or nation states'?!?! Are you mad? This will never happen, and not for reasons of race, but because of economics and money and land, and more pragmatic and less fluffy things.

I hate your new world order OP and I don't want to live in it.
