    Mine just arrived there now.
    Will set it up later.
The unifying receiver dongle thing, do I need to use one for both the keyboard and the mouse or would one do both.

i imagine it's just the one but i've yet to take the plastic of the mouse to verify, taking up 2 usbs is a bit much (i've not got another spare port on the back of my xbox)

You can just use the usb receiver off the keyboard, you'll need to download this piece of software http://www.logitech.com/en-us/349/6127 and that will let you connect multiple devices to one receiver

Agreed! Mine also came today. I'm typing this message from my k400 right now! It's even almost worth the €40 i paid for it! ;)

BTW, the Set point software is really worth the download for the k400 and possibly all the keyboards.

    http://www.logitech.com/en-roeu/support-downloads/downloads/keyboards/devices/8276?section=downloads&bit=&osid=14

It shows you the battery life.

It shows a transparent overlay each time you press Caps Lock, Scroll Lock, and also shows a volume bar when hitting the volume buttons as well as a mute on/off.

You can map FN + any key to perform tasks.

It also has the unify software build in for using the same receiver with other mice / keyboards etc...

And the usual touchpad features, enable\disable Tap To Click, acceleration settings, etc...

The only thing it seems to be short is the ability to scroll by touching the right hand side of the touchpad.

anyone else notice with the mouse that you need to really press down on the scroller to "middle click"?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,374 ✭✭✭Doge

Just RTFM, (always a good idea ;)) that came with the keyboard,

and to scroll vertically without touching any buttons is simple.....

...Just use 2 fingers at once anywhere on the trackpad. ;)

are you talking to me waveform?

I think I might have a cool mod for the K400 for that added comfort and stability when typing on the couch.

Have you ever used those bean bag lap trays before?

    beanbagtraybig.jpg

I was thinking maybe of buying a rectangular bean bag about the size of the keyboard, and using Stick on Velcro, to clip it on underneath.

That way it would kind of mould (temporarily) to the shape of your laps and there should be less wobble.

The velcro would allow for easy removal if you wanted to use keyboard on a table.

Or if you were really fancy, you could use some memory foam.

    Any thoughts on it?

    Talking to myself! ;)

What i was saying was that I read the manual and found out how to scroll vertically, and shared it for anyone else who bought the K400.

So the R in RTFM, was read (paste tense) if you will. hehe

    Cant get this to donload.
When I choose Windows7 from the drop down menu it does nothing but revert back to ask me to choose which OS I want.

Anybody check to see if it works for them?

Working fine here in Firefox 3 latest.

Heres a direct link for Windows versions, doesn't matter which OS is chosen.

Is this still working for anyone?

I registered, but haven't received any email for 20%, maybe i'm being impatient.. (How long does the email take?)

When i apply the LOGITECH15OFF it removes the free delivery, and applies a €15.66 delivery.

No free mouse has appeared at all. But a notice appears.
    Shopping Basket
Add EUR 2.01 worth of products to your order to qualify for Free Shipping using Standard Shipping

I was going to order the K400 as well, so that would remove that. (The notice)
But is the free mouse gone?

    EDIT:

When i re-registered, it pushed through the email twice, with same code, I added the K400 and the message changes to this

The free mouse offer expired on the 23rd I think for those 2 keyboards.

There was a few other models which still included the mouse but they seem to be gone now too.

Reluctantly pressed "Submit", hoping that the offer available to limited number of shoppers would appear.

Nothing.. Dag nabbit, i wouldn't have bought the K230. I only did hoping the mouse would come with it.:(

You should cancel your order asap. Another member who ordered earlier in the thread, canceled his AFTER it was shipped.

And they told him to simply refuse the package from UPS on delivery.

    So you'll be fine.

    Just re-read your post.

41 euro is extremely cheap for both of those keyboards.

I payed 40 euro for the k400 alone! And the next day I saw that there was 2 discounts I could have used to get it for 13 euro less!

You can always sell the k230 when you receive it.

Late reply, Was having trouble with my internet connection..

Yeah, it is cheap, but i don't really need it. I suppose i could cancel the K230. Or i could show them the screengrab saying "Check out now to ensure you receive this valuable offer." And ask them what it is..

I wouldn't have proceeded without that message..

I bought the K400, got the confirmation that they posted the mouse nothing about the K400, apparantly the K400 still out of stock, don't want to cancel the order, I might way another week or so.

Hopefully they'll post the K400 soon!!
Btw, didn't get the mouse yet, estimated date is tomorrow!

    Let's see!

I have noticed that, but not so bad

Just off the phone with Logitech, and they said that the mouse should still be coming up.. So i went through the order process with him online, and it still didn't, he asked me what model was the mouse, I checked back here, told him, and he said because it's didn't appear, and i did get the message with my order, he's going to add it with..

    Yay. :D:D

Perfect, after ordering Raspberry Pi this morning.

Have to say Logitech was one of the better support lines i ever rang, and sorted it quickly.

    Thanks OP too. :)
