    Waterford-born comedian Hal Roach has died at the age of 84.

    Matt Cooper had Brendan Grace on this evening, and he said Roach was one forefathers of Irish Comedy, a comedian who they all looked up to.

    Ehhhhhm, no. Not what you said at all billy, you said "nobody ever heard of him". Which is very disrespectful to a professional comedian who had just passed away, hope none of his family read your bull.

    RIP Hal. I just came on and saw this now. A good friend of my Grandads and without a doubt one of the forefathers of Irish comedy.
