I would print a life sized poster of Leinster house and stand with a smug look on my face in front of.

How on earth does one INK cartridge cost 128 Euro ??
You could buy two printers with ink for that price these days. And I presume they buy wholesale...There's probably a bigger crime in there somewhere.

I suspect that some Shinners were looking for cartridges - and he sent them a lorry load of the wrong type. You could say he jumped the gun on that one :D

For that cost I'm guessing it was papyrus hurtled through a time machine from ancient Egypt.

3.5 million sheets is 7000 reams.

Taking that he wasnt printing full duplex then:

    7000 reams @ approx Euro2 equates to 14000.

Lazer printer colour cartridges easily cost that.

    3.5 million sheets/500 sheets per ream = 7000 reams @ 2.5KG (assuming 80gms weight) = 17.5 tonnes of paper! Is that right?

Keep it until they developed ink fuelled cars...its going to happen at some stage, Anus Ó Snotface obviously has an inside line on its development and is hoarding it.

I'd probably use it to print new serials on a few million quid of Northern Bank notes.

7000 reams would be equivalent to 3

45ft trucks loaded with pallets of paper

Strangely enough, they used some paper but the amount of envelopes that could be found in the Dail and used, was much greater.
The fella doing the stationary ordering couldn't explain it.
He said the delivery chap must be constantly giving them too many envelopes, they were dumped everywhere!

    Strange stuff! :pac:

Even if his printer was going 24/7 for 2 years it still wouldn't amount to that cost.

Gonna have to say it's ending up as a brown envelope somewhere.

Office printer ink cartridges are much bigger than what you use in home printers. They can be the size of a laptop.

Which is course means he printed off a lot more than most people initially thought.

Are you telling me each TD has industrial Size office printers ? I think not.
Mind you in this country you're probably right.

No, a common office laser jet type printer can use fairly large sized toner cartridges, and they are quite expensive.

However, to use that amount meant he was either paying over the odds, or literally had the printers running 24/7 to use up all that ink - would have been cheaper to sent the documents it to a commercial printer.

Gross inkompetence, allowing TDs to wolf the toner.

They should have x-ray scanners and baggage checkers in gubberment buildings.
