I saw this in a magazine the other day, It's by Dimitri HK in france.

just wondering is there a name for this specific style of tattoo?
not the skulls per se but the effect of the skin kind of 'bubbling/fading' away

first thing that comes to my mind is 'bio-horror' or something...

it isn't wide spread enough to be called anything. its the first time I have even seen it.

if you are looking to get something like that done, you should be going to that guy.

That's REALLY cool, I want one!! LOL

Cost?? There'd be a few quids worth there alright. That's hours of work!

Costs depends entirely on the artist - you could get a scratcher to attempt it for €50 & a few cans (DON'T DO THIS!), or you could choose a world-renowned artist who might charge quite a few thousand euro.

I'd say it would take a handful of sessions to complete too.

really, there's no name for it?
i've seen very similar styles before, but not really sure what to search for them under etc.

    thanks anyway!

There's elements that are similar to some biomech stuff, so its prob an influence but its certainly not bio mech.

The bubbling away aspect is quite specific to be looking for a style name.
