Anyone out there using Springer Spaniels for putting foxes out of cover?

How do you find them or has anyone any pups for sale?

    Cheers

hi,i have one bitch which we use with beagles,springer/beagles etc.She is very good on foxes but like everything else some will be very good others not so good.Springer/Beagle cross is probably a better bet if its just foxes you want to hunt.I bred a litter last year but all were divided between myself and lads i hunt with.

Ive shot plenty of foxes with a barking springer in chase, i find a couple of good terriers or beagles and a barking springer or two work very well together.
Some lads will cross a barking springer with a terrier or foot beagle to add a bit of bite or extra drive to the dog but as corkdogs1 said some will be good and some not.
Best dog we ever had was out of a barking springer bitch and a patterdale terrier! absolutely class he was, got some heap of tails with him:D

In my opinion you wont get better dogs for driving foxes from heavy cover than barking springers or barking springer/terrier. Hunting with good ones is a pleasure
