Health insurance shopping tips???

Hi folks.

I want to move healthcare providers for myself,my wife and our 8 month old baby..

We are with Quinn atm and find them very dear for basic packages. What company is doing the best deals atm or is it like car insurance where you ring around every where.

Any advice appreciated..

All three insurers are offering free cover for children for the next month. Children under 1 at renewal are always free with Aviva so if the parents are buying a plan with day 2 day cover or a decent level of cover the child will get that free for another year. Much better cover than the plans that are being offered for free for all children. VHI will tie you into a specific renewal date, Quinn and Aviva won't. Quinn are the cheapest for basic cover but they reduce cover or access on some of their plans. Really depends on the type of cover that the parents are looking for.
