Best Courier/Transport option for high value item?

Apologies if this is the wrong forum.

I have a small circuit board that I need to send to a specialist company in the Netherlands for repair.

The board is from a piece of audio equipment worth over €3,000. Without the board, the equipment is useless, so I'd need to be able to insure the package for at least €3,000.

An Post registered aren't an option, as they only insure up to €350.

A colleague recommended GLS.

Anybody got any better suggestions?

DHL / UPS / FedEx?

The insurance value should be the cost of replacing the board (assuming you can get a standalone replacement), not the whole piece of equipment.

The problem is the piece of equipment dates from 1979. Replacement boards cannot be had, and the equipment won't work without the board.

So, if the board goes missing I'll have to buy the equipment again.

DO NOT TOUCH GLS OP AND YES I AM SHOUTING..

Do a quick search here for them and you will see why. Fedex are quite good.

I have done that already, proved cheaper than a courier at the time plus got a weekend out of it.
