Just watched a bit of Takers there...he is absolutely useless. I remember first seeing him in the fast and the furious and noticing that he had the onscreen personality of a plank of wood

Ha, doubt Leo is very high paid! Plus he has the added talent of being able to play the guitar at christmas

So what did you think of Hayden Christensen in the movie? For me another wooden spoon of an actor.

I like Walker, he was fantastic in the underrated Running Scared and while he lacks the range of the greats he's damn good at what he does. When people write off actors who only do big budget blockbusters I'm always reminded of Brendan Fraser who when asked about his career said that he only takes art house films in between blockbusters to pass the time.

    Nichols Cage anyone?

Cage is a brilliant actor who stars in terrible films.

Thought he was very good in bad lieutenant and leaving las vegas of course. I have a soft spot for both face off and con air!

Sam Worthington is one of the current golden boys whose success I just don't get. I don't think he has any screen presence at all.

Check out some of his earlier stuff as well as the recent Texas Killing Fields. He's one of the few actors not afraid to say when he's given a bad performance or if the film is crap which is refreshing.

I think he has potential, didn't think he was too bad in Man on a Ledge

I got to agree about Paul Walker, i think Sam Worthington so much better (although far from a great actor) Channing Tatum is another one of that kind of crop. I dunno it's hard to explain for me but when I watch Tom Cruise I see his character but with the previous three I mentioned I'm always aware they are actors.

There was a time when Ben Affleck would be on the list

But he's getting more approval these days
    The Town was great

This film is sh*te and still would be even without Walker and all the film's acting performances are phoned in imo

What a strange topic - maybe it's just me but I initially had to Google Paul Walker before I was even sure who the OP was referring to.

He's just some generic low-mid list actor, whose sole claim to fame is starring in an otherwise irrelevant franchise; not sure why he even deserves a thread tbh. Hell there are plenty of higher-grossing & higher-earning actors out there - with a larger output than Walkers to boot - that offend with their acting abilities.

If you want to see a truly terrible performance then take a look at Justin Timberlake in Edison Force. Nothing Walker has ever done comes close to being as bad as what Timberlake does in the film, good job the film never saw the inside of a theatre or there's a good chance that someone else would have been cast in The Social Network.

    Daniel Radcliffe anyone ?

Daniel Radcliffe is an excellent actor

You need to see My Boy Jack
Filmed in Kildare too, just thought I'd throw that in

Naaaaah. He's a good actor with questionable career advice. Would never go as far as to say he's 'brilliant'.

Gerard Butler is fairly awful to be honest. Also, Jack Black plays the same role in every movie he's in, and he's still not getting any better. Appalling 'actor'.

JT has got better since his debut in Edison, he has been clever with his movie roles

Edison Force wasn't his debut. Had it reviewed the wide theatrical opening that was intended it would have killed his career. He would have joined the list of popular singers whose big Hollywood picture bombed. That so few people saw Edison Force was a blessing for his career, it's truly a terrible film.

There's no question that he's given some damn fine performances but he's not leading man material. In Time proved that, but then again it's hard to fault him when you consider he was acting opposite a charisma vacuum in a film that had the stylistic look and feel of a nearly 90s direct to VHS action film.

I thought Edison was his film debut

I thought he did well as a leading man in Friends With Benefits

Bar In Time though, I never got the impression that Timberlake wanted to be a leading man, most of his roles have seemed to be more background ones; playing smaller, more periphery characters. That and uhm, boo-boo from Yogi Bear

I likeed Gerard Butler in 300 but anything else I have seen him in has been fairly bad. Another actor who deserves a mention is Justin Long. Awful!

No way, The Rock will never win any Oscars but he does what he does well IMHO. he's well able for the fun looking GI Joe sequel. He does have a kind of Chrisma that the very Wooden Walker could only dream of.
