Facebook Defriending

Be careful who you defriend on Facebook :(

I know a few people who get very annoyed after being removed from friends lists, nothing like this though.

    http://www.irishtimes.com/newspaper/breaking/2012/0210/breaking4.html
A Tennessee couple who "defriended" a woman on Facebook were murdered in their home by the jilted woman's father and another man, US police said.
"It's the worst thing I've ever seen," said Johnson county sheriff Mike Reece, who has worked in local law enforcement for 27 years.
"We've had murders, but nothing like this. This is just senseless."
He said Billy Clay Payne Jr and Billie Jean Hayworth were killed last month after they deleted Jenelle Potter, the daughter of one of the suspects, from their "friends" list.
Both were shot in the head and the man had his throat cut.
The couple's eight-month-old baby was in the mother's arms, unharmed, when the bodies were found.

I tend not to add psychos myself.

More people need to delete their FB accounts and go out and smell the roses.

Sure she's going to get 'defriended' by everyone now the dozy bint, but sure at least when she checks in at 'the electric chair', she'll get a few likes. Jesus they have to make being that stupid a crime.

Strange thing: I de-friended a bunch of people recently because they're not friends, just old school mates who added me, and two of them have just sent me friend invites again. ???

Or good Christians, turning the other cheek.

    For "Christians" read "Masochistic wierdos".

Women have an obsession with clicking through friends of friends and constantly checking out pictures of 'friends' they never talk to. It's weird.

I don't defriend people. I just hide all their notifications. Who knows how many times that's saved me from being murdered.

I heart Journos. I can just picture the internal monologue...

"What's this? Horrific double murder in Tennessee leaving an infant orphaned at the crime scene? Boooorinnngg! Oh wait, apparently they de-friended some woman the killers knew at some vague previous point on Facebook. Maybe I can word this story to make it appear that was the cause of the whole thing, add a whole weird pop culture angle to the reporting. God I'm so fucking talented."

I don't. There was also a thread on here recently of a boyfriend who masturbates to his girlfriend's friend's facebook photos. There's wierdos on both sides of the gender divide.

Sure is. Turns out the girlfriend had asked him to stop watching porn, so he started using FB for his needs instead. Surely she'd prefer he go back to watching porn now? ;D

This has happened to me numerous times. And sometimes it didn't stop at one invite. There was a second when I ignored the first (after defriending them).

    Christ, have some dignity!

There ought to be a rule.

If you aren't Friends with people in like REAL LIFE, don't add them as 'friends' on Facebook.

There seems to be an inadequacy involved with the friends count.
