97 Passat Central Locking not working anymore

Hi there,

Does anyone know of a place in Cork or Waterford that repairs cheap enough central locking of a car? My one is giving me trouble as in wouldn't lock all doors and just last night, locked drivers and passengers door and wouldn't open no more. The little door pin wouldn't even come up no more and have no way to open them doors.

Any wet carpets? Front or back, but specifically under the seats?
There's a module (controls locking etc) under the carpet that is in the direct path of a water leak from under the battery through the firewall.

Nope, the car is bone dry inside, at first not all doors would lock. I then manually locked drivers and passenger door from inside, now they wouldn't' open at all anymore. Central locking used to open and close doors when locked from the boot but that doesn't open them doors either anymore. Any help???

Can you get the drivers door open at all? Even with the key in the lock barrel?

Unfortunately not. The lock does not open from outside, I guess broken but as said, all doors always locked and unlocked from the boot. Only now that driver and passenger right side would no longer open at all from in or outside. Left side doors open.

Anyone that could fix that or at least get the doors open?
