How many cables for DTT/free sat channels

I have sky+ in the living room and an old sky box in the bedroom.

I am getting rid of sky this summer.

I have an aerial on the roof but I pulled the cable out of the conduit in the living room a long time ago.

If I get combo box for both DTT and the free sat channels, do I still need 2 runs from the dish for satellite or is only 1 required.

The reason I ask is that if it is one, then I could use the second sky cable to carry the aerial signal. If both are needed then I will have to use a diplexer on one of the existing cables?

Also, may be a silly question, but can the DTT aerial signal be split to all rooms like the analogue system?

If you going for a satellite PVR like Freesat+ you will require the 2 feeds from the dish but you will be able to piggyback the terestrial signal on one of them with a combiner/diplexer. If you plan on only one feed from the dish the other cable can be used without combiner/diplexer.

DTT can be split just analogue either using a simple splitter or distribution amp if feeding a numbers of TVs/STBs.
