Logitech Wireless Keyboard - Connecting problem

I had to remove the wireless USB stick from the USB port.

I have now replaced it. I was able to reconnect the wireless mouse no problem, but I'm having problems with the keyboard.

A prompt appears saying that something (the keyboard) wants to connect with the computer. It asks for a connection key. "Entering the pairing code for this device."

1. I have no idea what this key might be, or where it might be found.

2. Even if I knew, I couldn't type it into the box anyway. Or could I?

The pairing key is probably underneath the keyboard, on a sticker somewhere. I'm guessing its a bluetooth one. A workaround for the keyboard issue would be to use the Windows on screen keyboard, look in start>All Programs>Accessories>Accesability/ease of access>On screen keyboard

Sorted.

By removing and replacing the batteries, I forced the key board to generate a new key (apparently! :rolleyes:) and I was able to type this in using the keyboard and reconnect.

Ahh the joys of wireless. I gave up on wireless mice/keyboards years ago, never looked back. Such a nuisance with batteries, connecting and all that b*llocks, have a generic Dell keyboard and a wired laser mouse now, makes all the difference
