Gervinho will have a tough time getting back into the starting line up considering the way Chamberlain is playing. Unless Chamberlain plays in Walcott's position where I have seen him play before.

I know Walcott got 3 assists today, but Gervinho final ball is a alot better than his. Gervinho and Chamberlain are 2 players that can really take on players, I think they could do a good job supporting Van Persie

Chamberlain and Gervinho should be first choice.

Walcott and Gervinho will be first choice.

I really hope not, although to be fair to Walcott, he did have a good spell a few months back. Maybe know that Chamberlain is on the bench behind him, will make him play better

I'm not sure about that, based on some of what I've seen here and on other websites I reckon there's quite a few who want him gone asap.

You could be right but I do think the majority believe Wenger deserves more respect than that, plus from what I can gather it would have taken a brave man to take out a bin bag at the Emirates today.

A good day today, we should all be happy. But we should all know by now that one swallow most certainly does not make a summer when it comes to Arsenal. A bit harsh on Ramsey too! Today had more to do with Blackburn being terrible than it did with the team selection.

Yes we know it could just be a false dawn weve had many as Arsenal fans but one can always try be positive after such a result it was our first time to score 7 goals at the Emirates. That I dont buy one bit its down to Balckburn being terrible not at all even before they went down to ten men it was all Arsenal it wasnt that they were terrible it was that we controlled the game from start to finish when we lost the ball we chased it and won it back and when we had the ball we used it well. player like the ox were a constant thorn in there side but not only offensively he was also chasing back and winning the ball.

Ramsey maybe a bit harsh alright it was just a thought since we havent played that well in a good while and he plays in a pivotal role or this Arsenal side to tick.

Yeh it was a hoax I think the Mirror picked up on it first and from there it spread like wildfire, I think one thing all Arsenal fans have in common at this stage is that no one want to see Wenger gone mid season regardless so protesting whilst the players are on the pitch is never going to do any good.

yeah it'd be a stupid time to get rid of him and he at least deserves until the end of the season but that's another issue that's had plenty of airtime i'll call it, but their bound to know of the discontent among fans & it might actually be a good thing, make them realise that they need to preform better if they don't know already
Have to say im delighted with todays result great performances all round now if we can perform like that week in week out id be one happy camper. Heres hoping this is a little kick start to get us going. Does anyone think dropping Ramsey may have been a key factor? I do like him as a player but hes been in poor form of late and had a lot of games for a player so young and after such a serious injury.

if we could play a team like blackburn at home for the rest of the season i'd be a happy camper :D , not taking anything away from the performance or being over critical of the team but blackburn were píss poor - even with 11 - but your right it should definitely boost confidence & hopefully they'll kick on.
A united win tomorrow would be nice as well.

Not sure about ramsey being out had much of a difference, as i said blackburn were bad but i'd say he's played more games than wenger would've liked

Hopefully now though walcott and rvp are starting the get the hang of it. Theo runs like a headless chicken to the goal line and crosses it to 6 yard box where rvp will be ready to pounce. When they do that it seems to work, why they cant get it to work more often is mind boggling.

Sounds like Frimpong has done his knee in. Haven't seen it but it's just come up on twitter and BBC.

Frimpong has gone off with a knee injury this time. The lad just can't catch a break.

That cancels out the result at OT. Shame it wasn't against Utd though

Bad news about Frimpong. Poor guy

Isn't Wengers contract up this summer?

If it is, I'd say he'll be legging it.

He signed an extension I thought?

Song was man of the match today, but what a different team we are when Arteta is playing
When gerv comes back I think chamberlain could drop out for a game or two but I don't mind that as long as he is ready to come on easy does it with him
As for park how bad must he be that he couldn't even get a run today, def a punt on a player that didn't pay off, strange one

Just looking at the rest of the games this weekend in relation to 4th place.

Chelsea are playing Utd so they're likely to drop 2 points at least.
Liverpool are playing Spurs and again a draw/loss is likely although they are in good form.
Newcastle playing Villa, will probably win because I think they've got Ba and Cissé back from ACN but a draw/defeat isn't that unlikely.

This could turn out to be a very good weekend for us. Leaving us just 2 points off 4th if Chelsea lose. If Newcastle and Liverpool win, Newcastle go 5th and level on points with Chelsea but we're still only 2 off 4th.

As long as Chelsea lose, it's looking pretty good. Breathing space would be nice though :P

Is it just me, or does Newcastle just not seem like a threat at all?

TBH, I'm keeping more of an eye on 'pool than Newcastle.

I hope united win this, we haven't a hope of them falling out of the CL places so obvious enough of a reason

hard to know who to want to win this. L'pool haven't lose at home in the league but have drawn a lot - 7/11 so a draw is likely but i'd nearly prefer l'pool getting beat as i don't think spurs will drop out of the top 4 & don't want l'pool getting any momentum going in the league

Ba's back anyway but might be rested i'd think, it's probably that they haven't been challenging for years that you think that. I think they'll finish above l'pool too, it'll be great for their fans to see european football back at the sports direct arena :pac:

Frimpong dOne his knee again today could be serious

    Nice.

It's been ages since we flogged someone.

A 34yr old loanee also has scored more in 4wks with us than our other two most senior strikers to RVP.

Ah fcuk hopefully its not to bad, was really hoping hed get some valuable experience at Wolves and come back ready for the first team he sure has the potential.

He must definetly have Arsenal D.N.A though.

Yes it was a fine win, but lets not get carried away. Sometimes I feel wins like this are a double edged sword; its great to hammer teams but I always wonder does Wenger look at this and say "its not so bad." Rovers were terrible, really awful, and had 10 men for a good portion of the game.

Big test next week, Sunderland are flying. If we're sitting here this time next week after another good win than maybe we can look at turning the corner.

People are quick to get carried away when we lose, why not get a little carried away in a positive direction for a change? It doesnt always have to be negative.

Yes next week will be a big test with a team in form. If we win this and put another run together then I would be confident of catching Chelsea and staying ahead of Pool and Newcastle. Very hard to judge Arsenal on today's performance as Blackburn are drivel and relegation candidates for sure. Delighted we won but certainly not getting carried away.

Blackburn were poor but let's not forget that not so long ago they beat United at OT and got a draw with Liverpool at Anfield. Fantastic result today. Agreed though Sunderland away is much more of a test.

Seriously promising player and probably the reason why Arsene let the unfortunate Frimpong go to Wolves on loan.

Looking at Spurs and Man U to do us favours in their next 2 games. Spurs have Liverpool away and Newcastle at home. United with Chelsea away and Liverpool at home. It's not great to be reliant on others especially these particular others but needs must.

Want to catch Spurs too, more like needing a favour from Pool. :pac:
