Is anyone here aware of a free PDF editor download which does not place watermarks on the document and does not contain spyware?

If not, can anyone recommend a low cost one?

    Thank you

How about PDFCreator? It's not an editor as such, but a virtual printer that lets you create PDF files from any program you can print from.

I use PDFill for adding watermarks, footers, etc. It's free and includes a PDF writer/printer.

Not free but cheap is Expert PDF. I use regularly for post PDF creation and editing and find it easy to used

Pdf24, similar to PDF creator in that it's a virtual PDF printer, but it also includes an editor.
You can apply foreground and background watermarks, stamps etc. It'll Aldo allow you to save to multiple image formats aswell. I just tried it out yesterday and it was pretty nifty - as a PDF printer. I was looking specifically for the watermark feature and page sizes up to A0, the editor bit was an additional bonus.

Free for private and commercial use too.

If you want a more polished product without splashing out for adobe acrobat, then try Fixit PDF editor. There is a free for private use version, can't remember if it stamps the PDF with a logo though or if it wad ad supported.
