These threads are stupid imo, drive what you want.

Nobody is saying that you can't drive what you want, it's just interesting to see what people think are more feminine/masculine cars. Get to see some decent pics too. If you think they're stupid, why comment?

Retarded thread. Because lets face it, this is a clio 172:

You probably think it's girly, but it will out drive a hell of a lot of other cars!

If it's not a D-segment saloon, or the 'fast version', then you are a little girl.
Nah, you're missing the twist - real men don't need to buy manly cars.

A real man would prefer a four cylinder BMW with an M Pack.

Why comment?I'm entitled to do so.

These threads pop up every so often and only prove 2 things,

1.That the majority of blokes are too uncomfortable with their own sexuality/masculinity to drive the car they want as they're afraid as being labelled as feminine/gay.

2.The people who mock other people who drive what they consider to be feminine cars.Ultimately these people also have issues with their own sexuality/masculinity with possible hints of jealousy.

Because a 316/318 with an M pack (does not increase performance) is a faster car?

    Sure....

Of course you are entitled as is everyone else on the forum, but why comment on a "stupid" thread? I have never seen one of these threads before, probably haven't been here long enough. I thought it was interesting to see what people in general see as being a masculine/feminine car, for example a pink Nissan Micra Convertible.

Because the OP drives a Puma and is probably considering another small sporty car and is looking for justification from the motoring forum and I'm saving him the hassle.

Relax will ya, it's Friday :)

To get an insight into which front seat the manufacturer intended to be accommodating someone touching up their make up, check the sun visors for mirrors.

Well, there's degrees of insecurity, I'm sure.
I would drive a Mini Cooper any day, wouldn't care if some see it as a "girly" car.
I do drive an MX5, the same there.
But I would never drive that pink Micra, for the same reason that I don't go to work in full drag.
There has to be a line somewhere.
Of course I would prefer a Dodge Charger to a Ford Puma (which I wouldn't drive), but in general these labels don't worry me personally.
I'd say it varies a great deal for everyone, some people would be very nervous to be seen in anything but a true macho mobile:

OT but why would ANYONE want a 4 cylinder BMW ? Misses the point of a Beemer entirely.

A 'Beemer' is a four cylinder BMW.

    Are you from Offaly?

I am. And I prefer hatchbacks. Xantias. XMs. Saab 9000s, Mondeos etc. Nothing feminine about a big hatchback barge. If anything, a hatch = utility, which in a land with single car ownership is the norm, tends to mean 'doubles as a van and a 4x4'.

    Both 'theories' quoshed.

    Uh oh! I'm caught.
My CMax has the full set with lights!
Worries me a bit that it would have them in the driver's seat, I so rarely touch up my mascara on the move.
Just call me Deirdre from now on.

Jeez, even my Lesbaru only has a mirror on the passenger side sunvisor.

my male friend drives a celica 190 TRD, gets a bit of stick over it, very fast and slick car, think that its reputation as female/hairdresser car is somewhat undeserved just because its a coupe and relatively small....
