Drinking water from a glass is refreshing. Drinking water from a cup tastes wierd

    What I do is drink tea from a glass to get revenge on the cup.

    It's the temperature. Glass conducts the cold from the water much much faster that the clay/porcelain cup, so 'feels' more refreshing. It's not actually the taste that's different.

    Either that or you have a mental disorder.

    Milk from a glass jug is the same situation.

    It's even better when you leave it in the freezer for five minutes and then use it in your tea.

    Yeah, but "everybody" has their favourite mug for coffee. Explain that!

    And the only thing that should be blasted with piss is one of them toilet duck fresh discs yokes !

    I'd almost bet that most of AH would drink beer off a scabby leg! A cup is probably a step up for most!

    Yeah.
    Drinks from glasses or bottles are nicer than drinks from aluminium cans, and both are nicer than drinks from plastic containers.
    The weirdest and least pleasant I've tried is drinking from a copper mug, which they use in a restaurant I know. Water just tasted bad and very metallic

    Apart from cans of coke of course!

    infinitely better than coke from any other vessel!

    Try pouring that coke into a nice tall glass with a few cubes of ice and you'll see how much nicer that is.

    I'm with the OP. It is weird and it's not just visual.
    It's the same with Milk and Coke - It's just all wrong.

    2 days ago I 'blasted my son with piss' because a builder we have working on the house asked for a glass of water and he gave him a mug of water!! He couldn't seem to understand that it's just not right!!

    thats mental. I always drink water from a cup, always have. I like the temperature the cup keeps the water. also it reminds me of the scene in indiana jones when he drinks the water from the most modest chalice. My OH thinks I'm weird. Looks like I may well be :p never thought I'd see a thread about this though
