    I've a Panasonic KX-TF7321G. Tis pretty good at what its meant to do so I'm happy. Would go so far as to recommend it to others looking for a phone.

    want eff all to do with futuristic mobile phones which are more smarter than me. I like to be in control hence mine is a n o k i a from 7 years back. Not an eternal mindfck that can consume one.

    (not an Android Smart phone either but a 'Galaxy thickphone' as fashioned by me haha)

    Only in smart phones. A lot of people don't want or can't afford smartphones. As a result mid range or budget phones are very popular. Especially if you want a decent battery life.

    I was using my old 2G W810i from 2006 for the last few months, and I didn't miss having a smart phone. Don't use the mobile much anyway. Having the battery last 5 or 6 days was a joy though. Sometimes I use a Samsung Cobble for another number and its a similar good experience.

    That said I'm back on a Xperia at the moment.

    Samsung Cobble. 20 euro, sends/receives calls and texts, has a decent battery life and doesn't break if it drops. Sorted.

    And that glorious ringtone!

    will you get the windows 8 update for that phone when its released?

    from what ive seen win 7 is pants on phones at the mo.... but windows 8 beta shows promise for tablets and smart phones.
