Using too much oil

    Hey everyone,just wondering can anyone help,I've just a standard slim Kabin pack boiler running on kerosene,in a bungalow,with 12 rads mostly double,I got 300 euro worth of oil 2 weeks before x mas,and bein honest not much left,so little had to lift up tank at one end to get last bit out,is this normal in a short space of time??

    Depends on a lot of stuff.

    What size of house, insulated ?? hours of use per day, times.

    Are you in the habit of lifting your tank at the end when you run out of oil ?

    Very little info to work with but with heating on 2 to 3 hours per day then this consumption wouldn't be unusual.

    Btw, I don't think that lifting the tank is very wise.

    Well there's eleven rads,all double,one big one in sitting room and kitchen rest are just normal size,I've a couple off,like sitting room cause fire is goin all the time and one or two of the rooms that don't be used are off too,it does only be on for bout 1.5 hrs per day,al together,gettin it serviced this week,so that should make a bit of a difference should it?

    Remember, €300 worth of oil isn't near he amount that it used to be as the price of oil is higher now

    I no:( its gone bad,just another thing if anyone knew,is it a big job to put a non boiler stove into my open fire??
