VW polo throttle valve issue

Hi, sometimes when i hit the accelerator the throttle valve doesnt open. if i switch the car off and back on again it works ok again. anyone know what the problem might be ?

The wiring loom near the throttle body can give problems on them causing the symptoms you describe. If that is the case there will be pretty clear fault codes logged. Have you got an EPC light showing? Have you had any diagnostic scan done?
