When I'm using the internet I invariably end up looking on ebay, adverts and done deal for bicycles and bits and pieces (I suspect I'm not alone in this). And in my time I've come across some bikes that are so overpriced and over valued I just laugh. Whether its that overpriced rusty Raleigh thats been sitting in a hedge for the last fifty years or a hideous looking fixie, there is plenty of dreamers out there.

Anyways motors has a thread like this and its time we had one (unless I'm missing out on one already)

I can't see why not to be honest, Adverts has sort of diverged from Boards.ie over the years. Its up to the Mods for the final call I'd imagine

seller seems to think a fixed gear conversion job with no brakes or foot retention is perfect road worthy and also worth 300 euro..

theres another pair of wheels on adverts I could make up a new set of, for half the price the seller has them listed at, I'd use the exact same rims and hubs but better spokes. ridiculous

Given that a UO8 is basically one step above gaspipe steel frame with nothing hugely special about it 250 is very very generous.

Slightly off topic but is there any cycling specific auction/classified site for Ireland/uk? Besides the usual suspects donedeal/eBay etc. but they're usually full of scrap as we can see here
