Chance of getting HIV from a blood transfusion in this day and age in the west? Statistically never.

When would your average man come in contact with and open wound from someone with HIV? Statistically never.

How often do people get HIV from modern day tattoo artist in the west? Statistically Never.

Even if the woman has HIV there is very little chance of her passing it to the man. Unless he cuts his penis. How many times do men cut there penises while have normal sex?? Statistically never.

The simple fact is if you are a straight male living in the west and do not inject drugs you have practically no chance what so ever of contracting HIV. No Chance.

All the hype is just scare mongering.

Lets take a Man living in Ireland.

Female to male transmission rate is between 1:1000 and 1:10000.

Lets take the 1:1000

Now there are only 2800 recorded people in Ireland with HIV and 70% of them are men leaving 840 women with HIV out of a population of 1,370,452 women (15-64 age). Assuming that half of these women are african, leaves 420 white Irish women.

(somewhat controversial I'm afraid but the inclusion of the african women statistic is important as if the man in question were to avoid black women his chances of catching HIV would half again as the majority of women in Ireland with HIV are African immigrants.... I'm sorry but it is true)

Therefore an Irish man has 1:3200 chance of hooking up with a white girl with HIV in ireland and if he had unprotected sex with her he would have 1:1000 chance of catching HIV form her.

Giving your normal Irish man 1 chance in 3,200,000 of catching HIV if he hooks up with a white slapper in Coppers tonight.

Like I said... a man in Ireland has little to no chance of getting HIV.

I don't disagree with the gist of your argument but the odds narrow considerably if you used the more realistic ages of 20-40 and also decrease further if you consider the type of woman who might pick up a guy for a 1-nighter of unprotected sex.
