Audi a3 1.6, a4 1.6, or golf 1.4

    Getting a new car this week and seen one of each of the above the 2 audis were 06 both€ 9800 low milage looking at a 08 golf for 8500 low milage too... Any1 any advice on theses cars problems that occur or just general advice on price etc?

    almost 10k for a 6year old 1.6 petrol audi :eek: im sure you could get a diesel one for that kind of money

    I am also interested in a Audi a3 2006, what do you think should be a good price, I was thinking more the along 8k mark..

    They are all very underpowered and as a result not very fuel efficient and terrible to drive.

    Go for an Audi with the 1.8T engine. It will cost a few pennies more to tax but is way nicer to drive and probably just as good (or better) on fuel.

    Though that mulitronic transmission is supposed to give a bit of trouble. Manual might be a safer bet.

    Avoid the 1.4 golf...particularly horrible engine in an otherwise nice car.
