They run talk radio programmes. MW ruins a music programme. Every other presenter on that station, or any similar station I've ever heard, places the focus on the music. Whelan thinks he's more important that that.

Who do I dislike the most? Easy.

Marty Whelan by a long shot. The fact that RTE have contracted him on and off for over 30 years indicates the rot within RTE. Personally I wouldn't let him near Transition Year radio, let alone the national airwaves. I can't even listen to him on those Tesco ads - it's enough to make you shop in Dunnes Stores!

Ronan Collins - incredibly untalented and boring. Another RTE mystery.

Mary Wilson - I simply listen to the better-by-miles Matt Cooper.

Marian Finucane - great presenter, hugely damaged by her scandalous salary.

I am a life-long radio fan - but I never listen to 2FM nowadays.

All in all, there is some great talent out there - Pat Kenny, Gay Byrne still going strong. However, the newer stations - Today FM, Newstalk, the music stations are all fresher and have better standards than RTE.

even on sat afternoon i was in car listening to the Clermont v Ulster game, which Clermont won, Des at the end says 'well defeat for Ulster, final score Ulster 19 Clermont 15'

In poll for the most disliked radio presenter and Adrian Kennedy, doesn't get a mention, very surprised to be honest.

I voted other but not for Mr. Kennedy, I despise Matt Cooper, I can not describe how annoying I find this guy, very aggressive in all his interviews and presents himself to be an expert in everything that is being discussed on his show. Plus what the hell does he know about football to entitle him to present all of TV3's football coverage? :mad:

Des Cahill seems to rely heavily on how the bookies think a sporting contest will go, instead of basing his decision on his own opinion/knowledge.

Not a radio show presenter but sports new reader. Paul Collins on Today Fm wrecks my head especially when reading anything to do with Gaa and he tries spouting out the few Irish words he knows. Wish he,d just read the sport and get on with it.

Also Ray Foley. Acts like an immature teenager

John Clarke by far. He has had the same 3 hour slot on 2fm on a sunday afternoon for years, same crappy jingles. Parents always had it on during sunday drives and he bored me to tears. His show hasn't changed in 10 years. I don't know what kind of hold on 2fm he has but hes terrible
