    What?! No Ray Foley?!?

I surprised myself by actually liking 90% of the aforementioned except for Tubridy, Duffy & D'arcy (& his sidekicks, yea, I'm looking at you, in particular, Farrell!)

Tubridy is a pain but not in the same league as that smug little over opinionated wanker Darcy.

I added the great Larry Gogan to show up the others. I cant believe someone actually voted him (it was probably a troll).

    Can't stand Ray Foley.
Howard Stern you are not and stop trying to be like him.

Tubs is just turning into a cnut on the late late by not letting people answer the questions he has just asked.

Gave Tubs my number one.. The first and last time I give my number one to a Fianna Fáil-er

Why isn't Ray Foley and his idiot sidekicks up there?!

Anyway I picked Neil Prenderville. Vile creature.

cant stand listening to that fella Marty Miller, he used to be on 98fm and thankfully left. what a twat.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 122 ✭✭beebaw

also Barry Dunne on 98fm, he is a plonker! cant stand the way he tries to keep you in suspense all the time and then comes out with the stupidest story that he did or saw.

rick o shea , just find the guy an oddball , the weird way he whispers loudly and creepily down the mike and his pointless audience feedback on various oddball and uninteresting topics

Smarty Whelan, by a country mile. He's not just ruined a show, but an entire station.

No Derek Mooney? Poll is flawed!

I cannot abide his voice and his seriously one sided show.

Saying that, Fenton would also boil my piss as would the mic breather who is on on 2FM at the same time.

    Ray Foley

I went for that fella Boylan on 4fm, though it was a tough choice between him and Prendeville, whose show is truly awful aswell.

Surprised that John Murray isn't included. His morning show is terrible.

Tubridy is pretty bad right now but used to actually be very good. Does anyone remember "The Full Irish" on 2fm?

For me, however, Pat Kenny remains the best radio presenter in the country.

Joe 'faux socialist' Duffy, by a mile.

That is why I added 'Other'. I am bound to forget a few twits like Mooney.

No the chaps an unfunny comedian who hosts some rubbish on one of the Dublin stations I think.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 817 ✭✭✭Mr Magners

Michael Cahill on 2FM. I stopped listening to 2FM completely about 10 years ago because of him. Unfunny repetitive drivel for hour after hour.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,730 ✭✭✭europa11

Tempted to vote for Hector or Tubs but taking into account the fact I'd rather bleed from my ears rather than listen to either, I decided to give the great €400,000+ p.a. self-agenda setting Socialist, Joe Duffy the turn - his Unfunny Friday slots alone make him a most worthy contender not to mention the faux sympathy and manipulation of callers to "his" show.

    * Although Mooney and the equally pisspoor John Murray get off lightly thanks to their wonderful ability to make me reach for the *click* button within seconds of hearing their voices - and exclusion from the list ("other", tempting as it may have been) wouldn't do for either of these braodcasting numpties.

I tallied the 'Other' category to date:

    3 votes:
    Ray Foley

    2 votes:
    Derek Mooney
    Marty Whelan

    1 vote:
    Barry Dunne
    Baz and Lucy
    Dermot Whelan
    Gay Byrne
    Marty Miller
    Michael Cahill
    Pat Courtney
    Rick O'Shea
    Ruth Scott
    Tony Fenton

No surprise to see the skeleton Tubridy way out in front with 14 votes.

The top spot is Marian who doesn't even do the hours yet gets a ransom amount of taxpayers money and gives us nothing but drivel in return. Ireland's welfare cheat No.1. The celtic tiger party is still in full swing with her.

Tubs is my No.2. The man is a disaster. He's like a silly holiday rep whenever he opens his mouth. That he actuallly does his hours, well, I'm not sure is a good thing. Money paid to him to stay off the air would be money well spent.

Joe 'O-M-G' Duffy, no.3. 4. Derek 'BBBBYYYE' Mooney. Bang on the money with anything to do with flowers and nature. Anything outside of that he's opinionated, loud AND disastrously ignorant on the subject.

Some on the list, I'm barely aware of. I'm not sure I much like the guy but Pat Kenny works hard and is capable of discussing serious topics. It's hard to be too cross with Dave Fanning. I don't mind Hector or Ternain either. They can be witty when they aren't too high.

There's the talentless yappers who run late-night call-in shows on dead-end stations who rely on confusing startled witching-hour drunks for their material.

Must admit I was torn between choosing Darcy or the Cork Wanker.
Fortunately I only run the risk of having Predeville inflicted upon me when I visit people in Cork.
He really is an obnoxious individual.

There's a couple of local presenters on that list that I've never heard.

So I'll give my vote to Keith Finnegan of Galway Bay FM.

I can't listen to him anymore. He drives me up the friggin wall.

    I've changed my mind.

My vote now goes to Breck. (Brenda wotsername off the Mooney show).

I know (strictly speaking) she's not the presenter, but she talks more than he does and annoys me more than any Harvey Norman ad can ever do.

    Proportional Representation.

The method used in state elections whereby voters vote number 1,2,3 etc in order of their preference.

I would be good here and provide a more rounded result, but its very complex.
