no free SKY HD Channels

    i do not have a sky HD subscription just the standard one but i can usually access the freeview HD channels like BBC1HD, ITVHD etc etc. a few weeks ago i lost these and it now says "no satellite signal is being received" with error 28 in the corner.
    my sky box is a thompson 102140 using version no 4E3011 with epg software sky+8.3.2

    this error happens with all the freeview HD channels only but all the other ones work perfect. i can also record and pause no problem at all.

    Error 28 means no signal is being received-do you have problems with any other channels?

    Do a signal test and also check all connections to the box,also check the sticky at the top of forum page,maybe some retuning of 'other channels' is needed.

    BBChd is on channel 234 for those without a HD sub.

    checked signal quality and both of them are past 3/4 on the bar. i also jsut did a planner rebuild but this did not work either

    Could be faulty box.do the old ring Sky & threaten to cancel trick to get a free replacement. (Mentioning UPC tends to help too;) )
