i have been quoted quite a lot on this thread .That gives me credibility i think .
Credibility? Are you serious? I've just read the first 13 pages of this thread and it is just incredible. I got sick of trying to make out the grammar in your posts.

Legalise it......a waste of money and resources combatting it.

Got to laugh every time I see the Gardai standing over a table stacked with a few bales of stuff on the RTE news like they're winning some drug war or something....and the street value is 3 million...'Oh wow!, what a big number, them Gardai really sticking it to them.' says regular Joe as he rolls up another spliff from that 50 million shipment that rolled in at the weekend.

No the sad part is that some lad ends up with a bullet in his head and buried in the Dublin Mountains because that 3 m was seized. That's the sad part.

If you play with fire you will get burnt, why are you trying to be sympathetic for somebody that hangs around with scum that will shoot their colleagues/friends/associates in the head.

You seem to live in some other Dublin, where mistaken identity killings never happen and no innocent has ever gotten killed or injured in a gang land shooting (because gangs are always so particular about ensuring no one else could be caught in the crossfire).

Must be nice. Doe it rain donuts there too?

There are many factors, and one difference is that alcohol is very controlled regarding quality and strength of the alcohol one buys.

With any illegal product (including illegal alcohol) one gets no guarantees regarding quality or strength.

Which is one of the cases to be made for the legalisation of cannabis to be honest. At least then you'd know exactly what you're getting.

It has happened that an innocent young fellah working in the house was shot dead because he saw the face of one of the assassins who visited to execute a gang member .campbell was it ?North side dublin . Gangs are often on drugs on these trips .Looking for excuses ?

I'll let you in on a little secret ? Ireland is already half buried in horse****e with dingleberries even sticking on the horse****e for their own primitive survival but Ireland is focused yeah, and the foundation of the state is still being run by old farts that have no technology experience at all so never mind if cannabis (soft drugs) will ever be legalized because this herb according to more than 1 million people here in Ireland has been legalized in their mind as they just get it while scratching their ass as if it was a daily occurrence of which it is. all hail the nanny state and it's master from germany. have a beer on me mercozy

What does Germany have to do with Ireland's drug law? The German laws are much more lax than ours (cannabis is still illegal there tho, strictness varies state by state). German law actually forbids prosecution of the user caught with small amounts in many cases.

Legalise drugs here and they'll descend on us with such fury like an experience we've not had since the famine ....and like then we won't cope with it . Why ...because we are not a cohesive society with real unity and Strength .' Fiercely competitive as seen frequently on Boards over a mere comma the faintest smell of dishonour and we become like a bull that has eaten a wasps nest .We are more a third world country than European and that means Mañana is urgent enough and nothing will be done about it .As Always!!! ....Freeze-ups ,floods, banks the examples are there . Nothing moves quickly in Ireland and only for outside influences we'd stop altogether . That's the history of the last 80 years .

When people say "to be honest" does that mean they have been dishonest ?
I am always suspicious of people who talk that way because it suggests they are dishonest .Why use it ??????

Have a read of last Sunday weeks SundayTimes Magazine about how our German friends in Betlin enjoy drugs, sex st the weekends and how the authorities are encouraged to turn a blind eye.

Why?? Well because it brings people to the cities who spend money, help the local economy and because they are not controlled by people afraid to stand up to the church, the blue rinse brigade etc!!

Everyone has fun but too much freedom in this country is a no no!! And paddy before you reply just ignore the sex part. It was part of the article and I know going by your record of posting in this thread that you will pick up on that part as some kind of evil!! Stick to the fact that people are allowed to enjoy drugs there as opposed to your claim that Ze Germans all abide by the law etc.
