Have bought avocados and am making guacamole tonite! Can't wait! Yum!

Also bought fresh jalapenos and a scotch bonnet, dying to try them out!

Wear latex gloves when cutting that scotch bonnet. Trust me on this, I have a horrifying story I could tell.

Hi everyone, I have been awol for the last 2 months, just been so busy with work and stuff, but have been keeping an eye on the thread!

I will be honest and say I haven't been following WW, but rejoined last Tuesday and was delighted (and surprised!) that I was only up 1lb from my last weigh in!

Anyway I'm back in the swing of it now, however I am not liking this 26pp a day malarky!! I am finding it quite difficult to stick to and I never considered myself to have a bit appetite!

Hope everyone is doing well, and I will start contributing now that I am back!

    You obviously hit Aldi hahaha!!!!

Going to do my shopping tonight. My mam is out of hospital now and is looking forward to starting the healthy eating with me. She has been living on crap like burgers and that while in there...

So going to hit Aldi (for most of my shopping) then hit tesco for the WW stuff, Low Low spreadable cheese, treble crunch and my philly (Which at the moment I am addicted to)

Is it nice??? The treble crunch is so expensive.. like €4.80 for 12 packets.... but they are delicious!!!

Are these Satin Crunch good??? Just don't like them Velvet ones from Tayto...they are like eating flavourless Snax! haha!!!

Satin Crunch are Aldi's version of Velvet Crunch. Aldi also do a version of Treble Crunch which in my opinion look and taste the exact same.

trying out a 'low carb' 2day after having a little (24pp) binge last night:eek:
only full on carbs iv had so far is my bowl of bran flakes this morning, since then its been yogurt and a big ass tuna salad @ work, i had a bowl of vegetable soup too and i asked the girl that made it a few weeks ago what she puts in to thicken it etc and she said she just uses potato and a bit of cornflour so there was just a small bit of carb there aswell. dinner im thinking will be a steak salad, was thinkin a stirfry but i cant have stirfries without noodles or rice to salad it is!!lol
must say im not feeling any more hungry than i would be at this time on anyother day that i had carbs, normally id have a wrap or some pasta or couscous with my salad at lunch. dono if i could do this everyday day but it might be something i might try maybe one or 2 days each week and see what happens!!!
anybody else try no carb days??

Welcome back! YEa I know I started the 26pp last week and finding it a little tough TBH! They advise in their Easy Start that you use 3pp fpr milk a day?? So then your only down to 23pp for food. Leaves no room for error of any sort and just the 3 meals a day! Give it a week or so and see how it goes I guess. You must be delighted with only a pound up I know I would be....

I'd imagine it's the same as a cod fillet, so 2pp per 90g fillet, so either 3 or 4. I think most fish apart from the oily ones are about that

Yea I have from time to time, sometimes not consciously just how it works out. But like that I wouldn't be any more hungry. Perhaps it's because I would up the protein. So like I would have porridge for breakfast, then like you fish and salad at lunch and then like a chicken stirfry in the evening. I would use extra fish and extra chicken though and I find I would have maybe 2 yoghurts that day. I think if it was 2 days in a row though I would notice it!

For the week of my birthday last June I avoided carbs for the week because I knew I would be having a big blow out BBQ. I had plenty of meat (no buns), a shítload of booze and even some cake and I was down 1.5lbs at my next weigh-in. If I STS or go up I do no carbs as much as possible for the week and it gives you that little boost at your next weigh-in.

if you are going to aldi just try their soft creamy cheese instead of the philly it's much cheaper and tastes just as good, it's the low fat version

hi Maggie may2 and m'lady i totally agree with you on the 26 point issue, i've been on the 26 for the past few weeks and missed last week's weigh in so this week i was dying to get to the scales yesterday cos i thought it'd be at least 3 or 4lbs down but it was only 1 for the two weeks and that was having earned 22 exercise points last week and 34 this week and using about half the weeklies both weeks. i don't use the exercise points by the way. but you're right it does feel harder, the 29 was comfortable and felt managable and i would lose at least 1lb a week on that.
what does everybody else on 26 feel about this????

Week 2 of my Weight Watchers adventure and today i'm feeling quite sleepy, drowsy almost! I'm wondering if anyone would agree with me that this may be due to cutting out coca cola and most sugary foods from my diet altogether!

Really want to shake this feeling as I don't want it to effect my daily exercise!!

I posted one on my blog last night. Double check the points in the type of beef you are using as mine was steak cut up: http://59lbstogo.blogspot.com/

They look amazing, will definitely be trying them!

Thats brilliant, keep up the good work :)

Thanks a mill, the OH is allergic to egg so had to be egg free, he did throw in a lot of spice when my back was turned though.
Stir fry is something I would never make but that will now change :)

Actually had a ww banoffee for desert,at 5pp it's quite high, that's why they've been in the freezer for ages but went all out tonight, nice for a change but not worth 5pp.

that happened me.... hit a wall last night.. just had a bad few days. Only for the OH I would have done the same again tonight. He motivated me to go for a walk and i feel a lot better since coming back.

I'm not missing the coca cola so much as i drink diet versions if i get a craving but its big dirty white bread sambos ... loadsa butter and "plastic" cheese with a pack of king.... God! its no wonder Im in WW.

Take an easy walk. We walked at a moderate pace...did a bit of uphill. but its kinda lifted me a bit.

I agree about d 26 pp, was doing really well on d 29 pp, was losing at least 2 a week, changed to 26 pp last week& I only lost 1!! Was well disappointed because exercised everyday last week, diidnt use d activity pp, didn't use any of d 49 a week& still only down 1 pound!!! Baffling!!

Wow cannot believe the speed of this thread, it was so dormant prior to Christmas.

Loving all the blogs and the new recipes. Defo gonna try the Lasagne, it looks really good, it will almost be like a treat it's been that long since i've had it.

I'm on maintenance and I used to be on 32 a day and kept the weight off. I wi about once a month so had my wi the week before last and leader said to maintain now i should be on 29, i know it's only 3pp but i was lost without those pp. I was maintaining perfectly fine all along so i've gone back to my 32. It will be interesting to see if the extra 3 will make a difference in my weight, don't think it will but we shall see, gonna leave it for another week and wi tues week.

    Enjoy the weekend all

Thinking of having bacon cabbage and white sauce over the weekend, home made of course.

Any know the pro points of two med slices of bacon/ham? or will I just go on weight on point it like sliced ham?

Also any recipes for a tasty white sauce?

Same as ladies. Was down a pound and a half on the 26pp week one. That was three 5k runs, 2 4k walks and no weeklies used.
Pointing milk at 2pp a day as not having it in cereal only skim in coffees.
Really finding it strict whereas the 29pp was a bit comfier.
Felt like I should be down 3 with new regime but next week will tell alot.

See they're re-introducing the core plan next week under healthy & filling food option too? Not for me tho as I loves my bread in the am and pitta at lunch. The core is quite like slimming world. Not for me but suits mums I think really well as less counting and can eat with the family more from feedback.
