    Buckfast: Breakfast of champions.

Honestly though I follow the mantle "its happy hour somewhere in the world." There is no right or wrong time to start drinking, if you want to have a drink then have a drink!

I have lost count of the amount of times, even in college, that people would negatively comment if I ordered a pint with my lunch while out. I think people automatically assume if you're under 30 and have a drink then your sole intention is to get **** faced, God forbid you think a pint will go well with your grub.

The earliest I've drank is at 10.30am. A bit disconcerting but a lot of fun.

you wouldn't have survived too long in ITT during the early 00's. last lecture on a firday was done by 1pm, straight to Fables (iirc), it was like a daytime nightclub for bum students, all dark inside, strobe lighting and such. Bamboozled by 6 and blinded by the sun, yet trying to act sober on the bus home whilst masterfully avoiding getting chip grease all over your face - ah, them's were the days :D

As for the OP, it depends on the occasion

Ah the fabled fables, when everyone had cash but drank rolling rock instead...

There was always drinks thursday too. Magic tradition that it was.

Drink when you want a drink. It's never too early or too late. I remember heading to the pub during the rugby world cup at 6 or 7 am and having a few enjoyable beers during the games and plenty others did too. The big issue is knowing when to stop ;)

One of the most embarrassing moments of my life was being turned away at the bar at my old Uni at 10.45am because apparently 'The Man' says that they can't serve alcohol until 11am. It's political correctness gone mad.

Every year a bunch of friends and I do the Circle line Pub Crawl around London. You have to have your first drink around 9.30am if you've any hope of doing all 27 stops.

Place I worked in, nights finished at 7.00am, often we had team (nights) out and we would head to an early house in Drogheda and pints being pulled by 7.15am, ah the Celtic tiger was roaring back then :D.
