Got the same email. US Netflix still works on my PS3 but the BBC iplayer and 4oD both require email address verification by unblockus to use them so no payment no use.

I never registered the PS3 trail just changed the DNS but I did register the following day when I set it up on a spare laptop as I couldn't proceed with the setup without registering. I used a spare email account I have for registering for things like this which is in no way connected to any of my PS3 accounts so they must be checking the IP address. I'll check the US netflix again tomorrow.

thinking of going for it and taking Unblock US for 12 months, just wondering is it tied to your ip address at home? i.e. if you say bring your ipad to a different address will it just say nope your not at your registered ip address and you can't use unblock US?

I ended up just signing up for a new trial with unblock-us with a new email address and it all works fine again. I'll keep doing that for a few weeks and if the service from them remains consistent, I'll sign up and pay then.

I would be hesitant about taking a 12 month sub though... It is better value but you never know when these things get shut or stop working. Like megaupload today!

How much is the 12month sub as a matter of interest - in work and all those sites are blocked?

    What's the difference?

    other than the 99c.

I couldn't get "unblock-us" to work, don't know what I did wrong. I tried manually changing the DNS settings, but on restarting the PC the original DNS settings came back. Then I tried dowloading the Setup App, got it installed, input my e-mail address when I tried to configure, but it just kept coming up "Status: not found", then it kept going off & on again & I lost my internet connection. I restarted the PC & the app had disappeared .

From what others have said I thought this would be easy. Could my Anti-virus or Firewall be blocking it? I also have a Dynamic DNS updater installed for remote connection, maybe this is the issue? Sorry, I get a bit lost with IP configuration :o.

Well my free trial with unblock-us is over but I can still use those DNS settings to access Netflix USA. But the kicker is that I no longer have access to BBC Iplayer.

I'm trying to use the DNS settings from playmoTV which is the same thing but free for the moment and it is also letting me access Netflix USA. But although I can get into Iplayer, every time I click on a programme to watch it says that there is an error and it is not available. Same with ITV Player unfortunately.

I really liked having the Iplayer so I might just pay the unblock-us fee.

Have you tried adding your normal isp DNS in the network connection settings advanced? It's possible iPlayer is not finding an address purely through the unblock-us dns and it will then fall back to any additional dns servers added in the advanced dns list...

Anyone know when there to update the stuff on the irish site?

I tried the playmo settings on my Sony Blu ray player but no joy, it's not on their list of supported equipment but as the PS3 is I was hoping it would work but no dice.

Over a week now with the unblock dns settings and I've not been cut off. Really finding some fantastic stuff in the US library, but I wish it had better browsing on the ps3, ie, search by director/actor etc.
On the iPad version it shows you 'you might also like' when checking a title, shame it's not in the ps3 version, unless there are some shortcuts I'm missing...

Sky Go doesn't work on the xbox if you change the DNS settings, I'd have to switch back and forth all the time.

Does anyone know how it checks if you have subscription or not?

OR do you have to sign in on the webpage or something?

Netflix? You have to log into your account (you may be automatically logged in) so it knows...

Just so people know, when new stuff is added it doesn't always show up in tje New Releases catagory. On the US version Amigo has now been added but you have to search for it. Happy as hell that it is on there as I've been looking forward to it for years.

    Ah that sucks.
Was going to do this to get the extra content but could not live without Skygo on the xbox. Ahhwel, will have to hope they update the Irish Netflix.

It would only take about 30 seconds to switch between the DNS settings for this and Sky Go.

If you are running Chrome you can get an instant queue like the US have by installing the following extension
    https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/kmdelealkajgbcbeglojcnooolhbdlgo

Useful for adding a bunch of things to watch later.

So I'm enjoying Netflix except for one thing:

The content that's viewable when you login. Is there a comprehensive list of what's actually available in Ireland anywhere? The search function sucks.

Here's a Greasemonkey script for Firefox users that also adds Instant Queue support.

If you use either of those, would the Instant Queue then be available on your PS3 or Xbox?

If you use either of those, would the Instant Queue then be available on your PS3 or Xbox?

These are both browser based scripts to get the tab for 'instant queue' and the various buttons for 'add to instant queue' to show up when you don't have a US netflix account.

However, I was gonna test that if I created some items in a queue to watch, would this then show up in the ps3 or xbox app? (I doubt it would, but wanted to check)

Problem is, that whilst these scripts give me the tabs and buttons that I need to use a queue, the queue doesn't actually work for me to test the consoles! I just get the below error :(
    Netflix Site Error

We were unable to process your request.

Please go to the Netflix home page by clicking the button below.

    Netflix Home

Does the queue work for anyone else?
