BTEA - Leaving the country on work placement

Right, Ive just been approved by my college to take my work placement in Berlin. Im on BTEA and Im wondering can I continue to receive the payment while away or do I lose it? Any info would be greatly appreciated :)

As long as the work experience is an integral part of the course, you can continue to receive payment while you are away.
You will have to supply a letter to your SW office stating this, and the period you will be abroad for. Make sure you update your address with them as well.
