Hey guys does anyone know of a simple straight forward bloody remote I could use over WiFi? I know WiFi for things like this can be like rocket science and I've downloaded a few but can't get em working.
Even tried the Winamp one but you have to have to same music on the phone as the PC for that as far as I can work out anyway.

All I want is an app that shows whats on the media player so I can then make selections from my phone?

I might try and get my head around the Winamp one again while I await replies.

iRemote works well but backwards to the way I want it! It allows you to play songs that are ON YOUR PHONE through the laptop speakers. I just want to be able to use my phone as a remote (see music thats in the playlist on the laptop and select these songs) to play through the laptop.

Maybe this will make it easier to understand,
I will be having a "Do" in a few weeks where my laptop will be set up in a bar with proper speaker, amps n stuff. I'm making a playlist but would like to be able to control it from anywhere in the bar as I'm a bit of an Audiophile.

    Cheers anyway.

Also won't connect through WiFi only bluetooth.

Dunno what exactly youre doing since i just set it up and am using it for the exact thing you described right now :/
Browse library, play all over wifi (after installing the server obviously)

my bad.got it now. pity about the stupid ads. I didnt have the port selected i think:o

I also realised I can could use my Belkin bluetooth thingy. And on that would you happen to know how to fix a delay/latency problem with MP3 play back through bluetooth. The Belkin thing is cool but has about .75 of a delay which is sick when trying to mix.
