    I have come across them before on t'internet. Led by Robert Gerwarth who authored that Heydrich book.

    I believe Dr. Anne Dolan is connected to them. If I recall correctly she wrote a paper about Bloody Sunday (1920) and how the IRA men dealt with it.

    Without checking and if I recall correctly it was a fairly revisionist (Irish History revisionism is a lot safer academically than the other kind) paper.

    I think it's a shame they are not more accessible to the public. If you hear of any talks /lectures which are open to public attendance let me know. I think other members here may be interested too depending on the subject matter. Even better would be a mailing list !

    I saw in History Ireland (Jan/Feb 2012 issue) a classified style advert for a talk held on the 11th January, unfortunately it was after I read the magazine and so too late to post. I think that one may have been organised by the TCD lot. They do cover interesting topics from time to time but usually I miss them due to late notice.

    Just contact them and see if their seminars are open to the public. The conferences can be attended by anyone who signs up and pays I think as with other conferences but it won't hurt to drop them a line.

    there's also the Centre for Military History and Strategic Studies in Maynooth.

    They run programmes of talks each term that are open to the public and the programme is published in advance.
