Different types of Asian people don't get along, so could still be a racist attack on that basis. Having said that, I don't think there is enough information to come to a conclusion on racism, or any other reason for the attack.

Either way, regardless of the reason, the attack is messed up.

Nothing he did deserves a reaction or revenge like that , he is lucky to be alive. He was fortunate in that they were not the most capable fighters but one wrong kick to the head and him not protecting himself could easily have resulted in a broken neck or brain damage , definately more than " a few slaps". Even if he did attack someone he did not deserve that beating. I have no problem with a one on one but 7 v 1 is a different story. Hope these fcukers get whats coming to them , and even more so cause it was recorded and posted, the dumb fcuks.

been reading a bit into about this,apperntley the lad being beaten up actully tried to fight one of the lads in that group not knowing his mates were very near by,not trying to vouch for any of these guys cause its pretty ****ing horrific but i reckon there is defintley more to this story then it looks like,definitley not a racist attack cause half of them are asian.there was also another video released showing the arrest of the guy without a mask on and you can be damned sure hes gunna rat on the rest of them and do a deal with 5-0.

Somebody translated the exchange in Chinese at the end, and I think there are comments around the 1:47 mark or so.

Yeah I agree. But the thing is it could've been much worse. Even though they were shíte fighters if they kicked him at the wrong point or hit his head off the ground he could've sustained serious damage.

The kids are no doubt a bunch of pussies when they're on their own too, and they're fúcked now since the guy who put it up seems to know their information. The video looks like its going viral too... hopefully something like this is enough to get some sort of a conviction in the states.

Indeed. Who knows if its true. If the guy is innocent then its awful. If the guy was in the wrong first its gas.

One of the funniest clips I ever seen was a Glentora v Linfield match years ago when crowd trouble broke out, there was one Linfield fan kicking a Glentoran lad on the ground, he suddenly sees 3 Glen lads run around him and gives the same sort of run Fr Ted did when he realised Bishop Brennan saw the photo of him kicking him up the arse after all his lies.
