I'm ditching UPC because they are useless. I would like a free to air setup.

    My requirments are:

Allow me to pick up channels in Europe and the middle east.
I'd like a system capable of picking up channels in HD.
I need to be able to connect up two TV's.

What do you advise? I really have not got a clue:(. Any links to a system that would suit my needs would be great. DIY installation kit prefered.

    Thanks:)

I want to recieve Aljazeera and the the zee TV range of channels. I dont really watch UK or Irish channels. Nice selection of free to air European channels would be nice also.

What you need is a dish of around 65-75cm, aimed at Hotbird satellite at 13e.With this you will need a satellite receiver that is HD and has a card reading slot or a ci slot to take a card and cam supplied by some broadcasters.
You won't get much for free, especially HD content.
All dependent, of course, on your budget.

I'm looking at a 65cm Ross HD FTA kit in B&Q. However it's not a multiroom system out of the box so what extras would I need to be able to use the same dish and reciever in another room? Do I need another reciever box ? Can I use the same dish with two seperate recievers?

    Thanks

A Quad LNB will feed 4 receivers or 2 x PVRs.
After that you need a Multiswitch for more outlets (some need a Quattro). Octo LNBs are not a good idea.

You need a pay TV account and specialist box with card slot, not the cheap generic B&Q if you want much HD content.

If you want Aljazeera Sport forget about B&Q systems.
